Tim and Jake opened, joined by two of Tim's pals -
on guitar (the guitarist from Drugstore) and
precussion (from a band who's name I've forgotten).
A very nice, low-key set, including a cover of
Leonard Cohen's "Tower of Song."
Homer have put out a CD version of their "Grow
Your Own" cassette, which was given away to Homerama
members earlier this year. The CD consists of the 8
songs from the cassette ("Acoustic Homer" stuff recorded
in 1994/95 and featuring Andy Metcalfe on bass), plus
"Indestructible" from the Lucky 13 CD single. I have
ordering information somewhere if anyone wants to
know how to get one, though I guess it'll be on their
web page soon if it's not there already.

Robyn's set list went something like this (though I've a
suspicion that I've missed out something after RCE -
it's a bit like that feeling where you think you've
left the gas on when you've gone out).

(Robyn acoustic, b&w spots)
Cheese Alarm
Chinese Bones
Balloon Man ("Some people write songs about women or cars. I
write about shapes. That's the Hitchcock schtick in a nutshell.")
Trilobite
(Tim joins on guitar, vocal and harmonica)
Madonna of the Wasps
Jewels For Sophia
Queen Elvis
I Feel Beautiful
(Tim leaves)
Raining Twilight Coast
I Something You ("As you get older, you write less poetry")
(Robyn goes electric)
Raymond Chandler Evening (with long narrative middle section)
(Kimberly joins on Very Loud Guitar and vocals)
Kingdom Of Love
I Often Dream Of Trains ("This is an encore song, but we're short of time.")
Insanely Jealous
--
(encore, with Kim, Tim, Jake and the man from Drugstore; Robyn
electric, big green apples)
You Can't Judge A Book By The Cover (Willie Dixon ?) (RH: "I played this
in The Northern Star in 1975." Audience wag: "You did a lot of things
in The Northern Star in 1975...")
Queen Of Eyes
Adoration Of The City (I may have got this and QoE transposed)
("We recorded this last Thursday in London. Near the Hogarth roundabout.")
Beautiful Queen

Robyn very chatty, playing well and seemed to be enjoying himself.
